These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of
The Assessment Library website and applications (the
"Service"), operated by Taylor Media Group LLC, a California limited
liability company
("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree
to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.
- Children do not create their own accounts. A parent or guardian creates and controls the account and any child profiles and is responsible for all activity under them. By creating a child profile, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian and consent to our processing of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and kids-mode PIN confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
2. The Service
The Service offers story-based DISC personality assessments and related
features for adults and children, including evolving personality profiles,
AI-assisted story content, reports, an in-app rewards economy for children,
and an "observer" feature that lets a parent share progress with people they
choose (such as teachers, tutors, coaches, or family members). We may add,
change, or remove features at any time.
3. Purchases, subscriptions & billing
- Free tier. New users may complete one full assessment at no charge, as described on the Service.
- Credits. Credits can be purchased to unlock assessments. Most assessments cost more than one credit. Credits are a license to access digital content, have no cash value, and are non-transferable.
- Subscriptions. Subscription plans (such as the Unlimited Family plan and recurring credit options) renew automatically at the then-current price and interval until cancelled. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.
- Reports. Paid reports (such as the Full DISC Report) are one-time digital purchases.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise and may change prospectively.
- Refunds. You may cancel anytime; access continues through the end of your current paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial-period or pro-rated refunds.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
4. In-app rewards & tokens
Children may earn in-app "tokens" or rewards (for example, by achieving goals
an observer sets). These rewards are virtual, have no monetary value, cannot
be exchanged for cash, and are spendable only within the Service. Children
never spend real money. Any real-world prize tied to a goal is provided by the
observer or parent, not by us.
5. Observer feature
- A parent (or an adult, for their own account) may share progress by giving an observer a connection key. Sharing is voluntary and can be revoked at any time.
- Observers receive read-only access to shared progress and DISC results. Observers may set goals and award in-app rewards but cannot take assessments for, or change the account of, the person they observe.
- If you use the Service as an observer of others (for example, as an educator), you are responsible for having any necessary permissions and for using the information only for appropriate, lawful purposes.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or for any harmful, deceptive, or abusive purpose.
- Access another person's account or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service or its security.
- Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service or its content except as permitted by law.
- Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a child or observed person.
7. Content & intellectual property
- Our content. The Service, including its assessments, stories, software, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
- Your data. You retain ownership of the information you provide. You grant us a license to use it to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
- AI-generated content. Some content is generated with AI assistance and may not be unique to you. Such content is provided for personal, non-commercial use within the Service.
8. Not professional advice
DISC results, reports, and related content are provided for self-awareness,
communication, and educational purposes only. They are not a
psychological, medical, clinical, diagnostic, employment, or other
professional assessment, and should not be used as the sole basis for any
decision about a person, including hiring, education placement, or treatment.
Always seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any
kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that
the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that results will
be accurate or reliable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable
for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or
for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use
of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for
any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you
paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not
allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses
(including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your
violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of others.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may
suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the
Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive
termination (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of
liability) will survive.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of
the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law
rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute will be the courts located in
San Diego County, California, unless applicable law
requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we
will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide
additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect
means you accept the revised Terms.
