Accessibility Statement

The Assessment Library is committed to making our story-based assessments usable and welcoming for everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work continually to improve the experience for all of our users — adults, children, parents, and educators alike.

1. Our commitment

We aim to provide a website and applications that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or the technology used to access them.

2. Conformance target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our reference standard. We are actively working toward conformance with these guidelines across the Service. Because our content and features change frequently, some areas may not yet fully meet every success criterion; we treat any gaps as issues to fix and welcome reports that help us prioritize them.

3. Measures we take

• Designing for keyboard operability and visible focus on interactive elements.
• Using semantic structure (headings, lists, and landmarks) and descriptive labels.
• Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
• Aiming for sufficient color contrast and not relying on color alone to convey meaning.
• Supporting larger touch targets and responsive layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops.
• Respecting reduced-motion preferences for animations where practical.
• Considering accessibility as part of our design and development process, and re-testing as features evolve.

4. Compatibility

The Service is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox) on desktop and mobile, and to be usable with common assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. The experience may vary depending on your specific device, browser, and assistive-technology combination.

5. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist. Examples can include third-party or embedded content we do not fully control, complex interactive charts, and newly released features that have not yet completed an accessibility review. We are committed to addressing issues as we become aware of them.

6. Feedback & getting help

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Service. If you encounter a barrier, or if you need information or a feature in a different accessible format, please tell us — your reports genuinely help us improve. When you contact us, it's helpful (but not required) to include:

• The page or feature where you experienced the problem.
• A description of the difficulty.
