This page explains the rights you have over your personal information and how to exercise them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and — where noted — to residents of California and other jurisdictions with similar laws.
The data controller responsible for your personal information is The Assessment Library, operated by Taylor Media Group LLC, a California limited liability company, 1667 Grove Rd, El Cajon, CA 92020. You can reach our privacy contact at support@theassessmentlibrary.com.
A full description of the categories of information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, and who we share them with is set out in our Privacy Policy. In summary, we process account details, child-profile details (under parental consent), assessment responses and DISC results, progress data, payment records, and usage/diagnostic data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
Parents and guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of their children, including viewing, correcting, and deleting a child's information.
You can manage much of your information directly in your account settings (for example, updating your profile, cancelling a subscription, or deleting a child profile). To make a formal request, email support@theassessmentlibrary.com or use our Contact page. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within one month under the GDPR). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We and our service providers may process your information outside your home country, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or another lawful transfer mechanism.
We use vetted third parties to operate the Service. These include Stripe (payments), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI content generation), Backblaze B2 (image storage), Google (analytics and reCAPTCHA), MongoDB Atlas (database), and our hosting provider. Each processes personal information only under our instructions and a data-processing agreement. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, after which we delete or de-identify it, except where longer retention is required by law.
Children's information is collected only under verifiable parental consent and controlled by the parent or guardian, consistent with the GDPR (and, for U.S. users, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). A parent can review, correct, stop sharing, or delete a child's information at any time. See Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. You may exercise these rights using the contact details below, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and believe our processing of your information is unlawful, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
