Somewhere in a drawer, or a folder, or an old work email, you probably have one: a DISC report. Maybe it came from a leadership workshop built on Assessments24x7. Maybe it was a Take Flight Learning session where you discovered you were an Eagle or a Dove. Maybe it was Everything DiSC at a company offsite, or a TTI Success Insights profile from a hiring process. These are the standard-bearers of DISC, they have helped millions of people understand themselves, and if you have one of their reports, I want to show you something no one has ever been able to show you before.
Two honest witnesses
Every traditional DISC assessment works the same way at its core: you read statements and rate how well they describe you. Done carefully, with a well-built instrument from a reputable provider, that produces something genuinely valuable: an accurate picture of how you see yourself. I want to be clear that I mean that as a compliment. Self-perception is real data, and the established DISC companies measure it well.
The Assessment Library measures something different. Our assessments are branching stories: you are dropped into a scenario and asked the only question that matters, what do you do? Across dozens of choices and multiple stories, the ChoiceWeave™ engine finds the pattern in how you actually decide. Not how you describe yourself. How you choose.
Your report captures how you described yourself. Your stories capture how you decided. Neither one is wrong. They are two honest witnesses to the same person, and the most interesting conversation in personality science happens where they disagree.
The new Compare tab
This week we shipped the feature that puts those witnesses in the same room. On your dashboard there is now a Compare tab. Upload the PDF of your traditional report, from any provider, and we read the scores out of it and show you what we found so you can confirm every number before anything is saved. Then you get the comparison: your report's profile and your story-revealed profile, side by side, with the agreements and the differences explained trait by trait in plain language.
A note for the skeptics, because I am one: the two kinds of instruments use different scales, so comparing raw numbers would be junk science. We do not do it. The comparison works on the shape of your profile: which traits lead, which follow, and by how much, in both views. When your report says Steadiness leads and your stories agree, that is a finding. When your report says Steadiness leads and your stories keep choosing Influence, that is a better one.
Natural, Adapted, and a third witness
If your report is from a provider like Assessments24x7 or TTI, it likely carries two graphs: your Natural style, the underlying you, and your Adapted style, the you that shows up at work. That distinction is one of traditional DISC's best ideas, and our comparison uses both. Which one do your story choices side with? For a lot of people, the stories land closer to the Natural graph, the private self, because a story does not know your job title and never asks you to perform it. Watching your revealed profile take sides between your own two graphs is, I will just say it, the most fun you can have with a personality report.
It works for the whole family
Reports live with the person they describe. Your results panel already has a tab for each member of your family, and each person's Compare tab holds their own reports. If your child has a DISC profile from a school program, upload it under their tab and see how it lines up with what their stories reveal. And because the story side keeps growing, the comparison keeps sharpening: we wait until a person has finished five story assessments before running it, so the revealed side has real evidence behind it, and every book after that makes it stronger.
One more thing, because it matters: we keep only the scores we read from your report, never the PDF itself. Your report stays yours.
